Trendsetters has been a wonderful experience. Being a young woman in my faith I feel very blessed to be able to share the wisdom of these Godly women. I've learned a lot from the Bible Studies, and I feel they are important for every woman to learn. Being someone who is still young in my walk with God, being able to spend time outside of normal Church services in a less formal setting where you are free to ask questions has been something I've not been exposed to. Trendsetters means a lot to me. We have been doing it for several years now and I seem to enjoy it more and more. I love the small group setting, especially since I am one that does not like to talk in front of many people.
I love knowing that Monday is coming and we get to hang out and talk about the chapter for that week. It's encouraging to know that whatever problems or issues we are facing that we are not alone. We can give each other ideas on what works for us or what has not worked for us. We all face issues whether spiritual, financial, marriage or parenting, we can all relate and it's great!! Through this group I have felt the warmth, love, acceptance and grace that is Jesus Christ. These women, who are so different from me, yet just like me, have proven that through God's power and direction his "girls" can be an incredible vessel of God's truth, by offering hope and friendship to those who are struggling just to breath and stay afloat of life's battles. The Trendsetters "Splendid" conference in Marble Falls this fall was a heart's desire fulfilled by our God and Savior, Jesus Christ for every woman in attendance. I was privileged to attend though I live 320 miles from Cornerstone Worship Center. This conference brought women from across Texas together to realize our "royalty" and empower us to desire to only please the King. Countless women received tools to overcome circumstances, grow in grace and become fruitful in areas that bore none. Trendsetters gives back by hosting annual community events that generate proceeds for various charities in Collin County. It is a spirit fueling, woman edifying, sister developing ministry that brings accountability, desire and a fresh new outlook to every woman involved and is a tribute to the leadership and founders.
I plan to attend the 2010 "Redazzle" event and bring leadership from my home church to spark interest in Trendsetters that may well become internationally recognized as a viable ministry to help women heal, grow and produce fruit that remains.
